Sure, but `\` is just a signifier used to give special escaped meaning to the next character; I don't see why escaping for the purposes of not putting a "n" is different from escaping for the purposes of not ending the regexp.

*Shrug*. Doesn't really matter to me. IMO this kind of thing is just editor discretion and no PR needed, but I can see how in the early stages of this collaboration getting @heycam's take is worthwhile :)
