Impressed how the consistency and quality of the design seems to be put at risk due to an existing implementation of an unfinished spec. Breaking the web? The experimental web is _not_ the web... It's the use at your own risk web.
Please go for the best design. Anything else will have more future costs for everyone, compared to any sparing on early adopters.
