I think it seems totally fine to say that something that fails to upgrade is unresolved/unupgraded. I don't see a need for a more granular distinction. Failing to upgrade should be a very exceptional thing that is figured out at development time; nobody should be asking a designer to design a "our programmers made an error and this widget is broken" UI that would need a `:resolved(fail)` selection. --- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/w3c/webcomponents/issues/422#issuecomment-193287197
