> What are you proposing concretely? That we don't generalize this to the need for an API to slice a string in varous codepoint / character compositions / graphemes. Exposing what the "character" to be deleted through the `getTargetRanges()` seems basically the right thing, and all it needs is probably some extra prose to make sure that browsers know what they're supposed expose in these ranges, and some notes and example to guide authors on how to use it. --- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
