Yes, this is in line with what I proposed in the [Shadow DOM Cascade Order proposal](https://github.com/w3c/webcomponents/blob/gh-pages/proposals/Shadow-DOM-Cascade-Order.md), but it was more general in the sense that the shadow tree cascading was expressed in terms of shadow tree order and was selector-agnostic. That was also necessary since in shadow dom v0, ::content rules from different shadow trees may apply to the same element.
