@davidmaxwaterman Yes, creating a style element in each shadow tree is an (only?) option as a replacement, though I'm aware that that's not a direct replacement and it would be painful for users.

`/deep/` and `'::shadow'` has been less-loved from other browser vendors. It is unlikely for other browser vendors to implement them.
