Title: [Shadow] it is unclear how elements in older shadow trees should work in case the newer shadow tree lacks <shadow> (bugzilla: 26846) Migrated from: https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=26846 ---- comment: 0 comment_url: https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=26846#c0 *Olli Pettay* wrote on 2014-09-18 12:14:41 +0000. Should the elements in the older shadow tree behave as if (1) they were in the tree of the host, or as if (2) the older shadow tree was a disconnected dom subtree? This all assuming the newer tree doesn't have a shadow insertion point. I don't have a strong opinion on this, but it should be defined explicitly in the spec. ---- comment: 1 comment_url: https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=26846#c1 *Hayato Ito* wrote on 2014-09-19 03:14:22 +0000. I think you might want to take a look at this issue: https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=26365 The mentioned nodes should be categorized to (2), but not to (4). --- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/w3c/webcomponents/issues/194
