XMLHttpRequest status update

http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2006/webapi/XMLHttpRequest/Overview.html?rev=1.22&content-type=text/html;%20charset=utf-8
reflects the draft discussed in this e-mail.
http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2006/webapi/XMLHttpRequest/Overview.html?content-type=text/html;%20charset=utf-8
is the latest version. We'll soon publish a new Working Draft and
hopefully shortly after that we'll go to Last Call if we get all issues
resolved in time.

http://www.w3.org/2006/webapi/track/products/3 has a list of all the open
issues. The basic problem is that invoking send() doesn't affect
readyState directly and there are some issues with multiple Windows and
XMLHttpRequest although it's not entirely clear if that's an
XMLHttpRequest specific issue or not.

It is expected that a new WD of XMLHttpRequest will be published real soon
(likely this week) and hopefully we'll solve the remaining issues soonish
as well so it can go to Last Call.
