Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]

W3C is pleased to announce the charter of the Web & AI Interest Group:
https://www.w3.org/2025/10/webai-ig-charter.html

The group is chartered through 27 November 2027.

The mission of the Web & AI Interest Group is to provide a forum to
explore and discuss how emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) related
technologies are impacting and intersecting with web technologies and
consider how the community could collaborate to shape these evolutions
for the benefit of web users.

Please use the following form to have your organization join the group.
The form will also instruct you how to nominate participants:
https://www.w3.org/groups/ig/webai/join/

Please consider diversity when proposing people to participate in W3C
groups. Representation from a wider group of people, especially people
from under-represented groups, is vital for creating web standards that
meet the needs of the wider web community.

The group chairs are Fabien Gandon (Institut National de Recherche en
Informatique et en Automatique (Inria)) and Haoli Chen (ByteDance). The
Staff Contact is Ruoxi Ran (Roy) <ran@w3.org> for a total of 0.2 FTE.

The group plans to have its first face-to-face meeting in 2026.

More information about the group can be found on the group home page:
