Re: Welcome to the Web & AI Interest Group (WebAI) - Please introduce yourselves.

Dear Fabien, dear all,

it’s great that we finally have a group at W3C that can focus on all things Web & AI.

I’ve been working on relevant related topics for quite some time (as a principal researcher at DFKI in the Speech and Language Technology lab), both in national and also EU projects that I coordinated, especially concerning language technologies and natural language processing but also including semantic web-related technologies.

As the W3C AC rep of DFKI, I’ll mostly try to keep an eye on the discussion and to pull in colleagues whenever it makes sense. I’ll also make an effort to contribute to ongoing activities myself.

Finally, I noticed the meeting invitation that was circulated a few minutes ago. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to participate in Monday 16-17 meetings because I’m teaching in that time slot (until mid February). It would be great if we could set up a doodle poll to identify a day and time slot that works for all/most of us.

All the best,
Georg
