So my main concern here is ongoing maintenance, not ownership per-se. At the moment if we need to update this code we presumably need to find someone with ssh access and get them to do (something). That's not unprecedented (it's already true for the sync script for example), but it's also not ideal. If we do decide that this is the right approach, I wonder about running the script on the same server as the sync script (I don't think that's w3c-test.org?), since that server might be more reliable than wpt-serve. @sideshowbarker ?
