The second IE10 Platform Preview was released today with support for the new web platform features we have been working in the Web Performance WG: requestAnimationFrame API, Page Visibility API and setImmediate API. You can read more about the release announcement at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ie/archive/2011/06/29/site-ready-html5-second-ie10-platform-preview-available-for-developers.aspx. We have also released a few IE test drive demos that show these APIs in action on the IE Test Drive site, http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Default.html. These three platform API's will enable web developers to more efficiently use the underlying hardware, improving both performance and power efficiency of websites. For these programming patterns to become mainstream they need to be interoperable across browsers. I would like to thank everyone in this working group for helping design these APIs, and thank Mozilla and Google for implementing requestAnimationFrame and Google for implementing the Page Visibility APIs. Thanks, Jatinder
