WoT CG Charter Review

Dear W3C Web of Things Community Group Participants,

It has been a while but we are glad to announce that the Community Group is restarting its activities! Cristiano Aguzzi and I, Ege Korkan, as the co-chairs are proposing a new charter with a new goal for the group.

When this group was first founded in 2013 by Dave Raggett, it was aimed at the incubation of the Web of Things.
Now, the Web of Things is more than an idea needing incubation, it is a group of standard recommendations by the W3C, already deployed in products.
With that in mind, this community group needs a new purpose, that I and Cris are proposing in our new charter draft.

Our goal is to build a technical and non-technical community around the Web of Things, share implementation experiences, organize events, and exchange ideas about the future use cases and developments for the Web of Things.
In doing so, our first action item is to kindly ask for your input on the new charter proposal.

The new charter proposal is available at [1] and rendered at [2]. We have also set up a feedback and introduction session to take place next Monday at 5pm (Europe/Berlin). The meeting information was sent by the W3C Calendar and is available at [3].

We have also set up a questionnaire at [4]. We would really appreciate your answers in order to better organize the activities and better understand the needs of the community.

Best Regards,
The co-chairs
