I'd like to introduce you all to the IOTDB project. I think this will be of particular interest, as it covers most of Dave Raggett's requirements / wish list. I am putting this forward as the jumping off point for this W3C project. In particular, - Open Source - Node.JS implementation - JSON-LD semantic models - Strong vocabulary - Solid theory of "how" we model Things - Works with many real devices. I'm going to make a number of posts on IOTDB, as there's a lot of ground to cover. Design wise, I'm two years into this; code-wise, about 18 months. If you want to just dive in, you can just start here by installing HomeStar. HomeStar is a user interface built on top of IOTDB. Although it uses web services, they are _not_ required. IOTDB is designed to "stand alone" https://github.com/dpjanes/iotdb-homestar D.
