We already looked at this before, so initial discussions has already happened offline. Web NFC is currently being implemented in Chrome, and Alex who is doing the implementation is well aware of how NFC works and what is possible. The experimental implementation is taking a bit longer than anticipated as clean ups are happening in Chrome (Project Onion Soup) but we hope to have something ready soon. We also hope that other vendors will soon start experimenting with the current API, so that we can move on to the v2 feature set. Thanks for your interest in the spec. If you want to contribute with use-cases for this extension, or API suggestions, feel free to do that. -- GitHub Notification of comment by kenchris Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/web-nfc/issues/101#issuecomment-182797766 using your GitHub account
