*** cross-posting *** Dear chairs and group members, The Web and TV IG has just published his first group note document: "Requirements for Home Networking Scenarios". http://www.w3.org/TR/2011/NOTE-hnreq-20111201/ This document is a collective work of the members of the Home Network Task Force of the IG and lists the design goals and requirements that potential W3C recommendations should support in order to enable access to services and content provided by home network devices, including the discovery and playback of content available to those devices, both from services such as traditional broadcast media and internet based services but also from the other services running on another home network device. After some discussion in the group and at TPAC, we decided to bring this document as input to both the DAP group and the new web intents group. Discussion on the topic as you all know is already started, but the group note is now finalized and we hope it will provide some more background around the use cases we are looking into. Regards, /g
