The mission of the Media and Entertainment Interest Group is to provide a forum for media-related technical discussions to track progress of media features on the Web within W3C groups and use of Web technologies by external organizations, and to identify use cases and requirements that existing and/or new specifications need to meet to achieve improved support for media services on the Web. Please use the following form to have your organization join the group. The form will also instruct you how to nominate participants: https://www.w3.org/groups/ig/me/join/ Please consider diversity when proposing people to participate in W3C groups. Representation from a wider group of people, especially people from under-represented groups, is vital for creating web standards that meet the needs of the wider web community. Current participants will remain in this group and are not required to re-join. The group chairs are Chris Needham (BBC), Wolfgang Schildbach (Dolby Laboratories), Song Xu (China Mobile). The Staff Contact is Ruoxi Ran (Roy) <ran@w3.org> for a total of 0.1 FTE. We would like to express our most sincere thanks to departing co-Chairs Tatsuya Igarashi (Sony) and Christopher Lorenzo (W3C Invited Expert) for their contributions to the Interest Group over the years!
