Dear Metaverse Standards Forum Members,



We are excited to invite you to the upcoming Volumetric Media Interoperability (VMI) Working Group Town Hall on November 26, 2024, at 7 AM PT. This online event will gather industry experts to discuss the current state and future potential of volumetric media, with a particular focus on how standards can elevate the ecosystem.



Speakers from leading organizations, including Volucap, 4DViews, XD Productions, Accenture, Trickshot, Evercoast, KDDI, VFA, MPEG, Arcturus, DVB, 5G-MAG, and SVTA, will present their insights on key topics such as volumetric media capture, market insights, vertical solutions, and the role of standards.



Following the presentations, we will host a panel discussion analyzing the future of volumetric media and the necessary steps to create a more interoperable ecosystem.

In addition, we encourage all members to participate in a Volumetric Media Survey, which aims to gather insights on how volumetric media is being used today and the key factors influencing its growth. Your input will help us better understand where interoperability is needed within the ecosystem. The survey is open to both Forum members and the general public, and we encourage you to share it with your networks.
