Dear all, The minutes from the MEIG meeting at TPAC 2022 are available [1]. The meeting included: * Presentation of our charter for a new Application Development for Consumer Products Task Force [2], focusing on addressing the challenges of building TV apps across devices. Please get in touch if any of these topics interests you. We'll run a call for consensus to start up this Task Force. * Update on CTA WAVE Web Media API Snapshot, with WASM integration potentially to be included in the 2023 Snapshot. Slides are available at [3] * Joint meeting with Timed Text Working Group, on Dubbing and Audio Description Profiles of TTML2 [4], and the Hypothetical Render Model for IMSC [5]. Anyone with TTML content, please try out the HRM [6] and report your experience. Practical feedback running content against the model is helpful, to validate the content, as well as improving the model. * Requirements for browser APIs to support Next Generation Audio codecs such as MPEG-H and AC-4. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 4th October, one hour earlier than usual, where we'll hear from NHK on Hybridcast, and their views on the Application Development for Consumer Products Task Force. Many thanks, Chris (for the MEIG co-chairs) [1] https://www.w3.org/2022/09/15-me-minutes.html [2] https://github.com/w3c/media-and-entertainment/blob/master/app-development/charter.md [3] https://www.w3.org/2011/webtv/wiki/images/e/eb/2022_TPAC_-_WAVE_Web_Media_API.pdf [4] https://w3c.github.io/dapt/ [5] https://w3c.github.io/imsc-hrm/spec/imsc-hrm.html [6] https://github.com/sandflow/imscHRM
