Dear all, The minutes from today's MEIG meeting are available [1]. We discussed web application performance on TV devices, which we introduced in our TPAC 2021 meeting [2]. Discussion covered: * Performance benefits of canvas-based rendering, with Lightning.js as an example * The need for an app store approach for installing TV apps * The need to support accessibility, such as screen reader functions * The need to support hybrid (broadcast and broadband) media delivery * Planning next steps Next steps are: * Chris Lorenzo to start a draft problem statement document * Chairs to discuss with CTA WAVE leadership on coordination plan * Continue discussion in a future MEIG meeting Next meeting is scheduled for 5th July, but we may want to reschedule due to the US public holiday on the 4th.
