Minutes from W3C MEIG monthly call 12 July 2022

Dear all,

The minutes from today's MEIG meeting are available [1].

We discussed scoping of new activities in MEIG focusing on TV application development:

* Developer experience - see https://github.com/w3c/media-and-entertainment/pull/86
* Application performance on TVs - see https://github.com/w3c/media-and-entertainment/pull/88
* API support for TV specific functionality

I also asked about media streaming handling, which would cover current Media WG items such as MSE, EME, Media Capabilities, Media Playback Quality. This topic came up in the Media WG meeting this week [2] where browser vendors want input from developers to help prioritise new feature development. We may organise meetings to focus on this.
