Hi Media & Entertainment IG participants, Just a quick reminder that there are a couple of ongoing calls for review for the creation of working groups that you might be interested in since they touch on media scenarios. The more expressions of support, the easier it is to create a Working Group, or to amend its scope, so please consider reviewing and voting on these proposals so that we can assess whether these groups can be created. (As usual, reviews need to be filled out by Advisory Committee representatives) WebTransport Working Group ----- https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/33280/webtransport-wg/ The IG discussed this API as a possible solution for low-latency media streaming. As mentioned during last IG call, whether the API ends up being a great fit for this scenario will depend on engagement from media companies early on in standardization discussions. We'd be very interested to gather feedback on the proposal there. Deadline for reviews is end of Monday 27 July 2020, so just a couple of days left! GPU for the Web Working Group ----- https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/33280/gpuweb-wg/ The WebGPU API aims to standardize the WebGPU API, under incubation in the GPU for the Web Community Group. The goal is to exporse modern 3D graphics and computation capabilities present on native system platforms to Web applications. Deadline for reviews is end of next week, Friday 31 July 2020. Thanks, Francois.
