Re: [w3c/media-and-entertainment] CfC: Rechartering the Media & Entertainment Interest Group (#17)

Media & Entertainment IG,

On the M&E IG Chairs call today, the IG chairs all agreed that we got consensus from the IG on the Call for Consensus on Rechartering the Media & Entertainment Interest Group. We had five thumbs up and no negative comments or thumbs down. While this is a modest response, given that the new proposed charter is substantially the same as the current charter and given that the IG charter expires at the end of April, it makes sense to move forward with the charter now.

The next stage for the charter is the W3C Staff will submit the charter to the Advisory Committee for approval. There are often changes to the charter that happen during this review.

Of course, we continue to welcome feedback at any time on how the IG is working for you. Any time is a good time for suggestions and improvements.

Thanks to all IG members.
Mark Vickers for the IG Chairs

This is a call for consensus to recharter the Interest Group. The current charter for the Media & Entertainment Interest Group ends on 30 April 2019.

Please review the draft Charter [1], which we have updated to reflect our current activities. There are no major changes. Please respond before the end of Friday 8th March. Positive responses are encouraged (e.g., as a "thumbs-up" on this GitHub issue), silence will be taken as consent. If you disagree, or have feedback on the Charter, please comment here or on our mailing list [2].

I also want to take this opportunity to invite your feedback on how the IG is working. What would you like to see happen in the Interest Group? Do you have feedback on our monthly calls or F2F meetings? Your input is very welcome.
