   ... you need some unique identity

   bill: identify metadata
   ... would be complexity

   glennd: not talked about identifier carries privacy information
   ... if you're going to expose something
   ... you might have an identity within your system
   ... and need another one for another system
   ... expose an ID and import that for another system

   kaz: sounds like we want a ID export/import APIs

   glennd: imagine we are using a movie service
   ... might want to use Facebook ID
   ... also my persona on YouTube
