HI all, attached you can find the slides I used during the call. A short summary of what was discussed. Assigned action points in bold. *1. GGIE* * The group is working on a charter. *Glenn will update us on the progress in the next calls.* * For those interested, slides on the GGIE initiative can be found here http://www.w3.org/2013/10/tv-workshop/slides/Session8_GGIE-W3C-web&tv-March-2014.pptx *2. Gaps/issues in existing specifications* IG members and / or SDOs that find issues/bugs in existing W3C specifications are encouraged to submit them to the relevant W3C group via Bugzilla. Furthermore, members and/or SDOs are encouraged to reach out to the IG (on the public list) and to bring up such issues for discussion during our regular calls if: * They are unsure where/how to report them, and require some guidance * They have reported issues already and want to raise awareness about them * They are about to raise an issue and want to ask the opinion of a wider audience *Jon Piesing to send some info on the bugs submitted by HbbTV* *3. Testing* * Interested parties (Members/SDOs) are encouraged to engage in conversation with the testing folks in W3C via the " public-test-infra@w3c.org" list and ask questions/give feedback on the ongoing activities * *Bryan to send a kick off email to point out to some existing resources (already done)* http://www.w3.org/mid/59A39E87EA9F964A836299497B686C351E52E57A@WABOTH9MSGUSR8D.ITServices.sbc.com ** Giuseppe tp send a kick off email about some of the concerns raised during the workshop and the call. All to followup on that email with questions/comments* * After an initial discussion, evaluate the possibility of a TTWF event focused on TV. *4. Rendering and control of linear video using <video> («Tuner API»)* ** Bin/JC to draft an initial proposal for the scope of such CG, create the CG and inform the IG* * After that, the activity will continue in the CG, which is open to anyone (also non members). CG chairs to report periodically to the IG on the work progress *5. Discovery and communication between two UAs or a UA and another device/service* * Interested parties to continue the discussion of specific specs in the relevant WG * *Giuseppe to inform our liaison contacts about the request for feedback/implementations for NSD from the DAP group.* *6. Performance measurement (benchmarks) for web technologies/animations* * *Yosuke to kick off the discussion on the list by sending an email listing what is missing and what we want to achieve. Then follow-up with the Web Perfromance WG* *7. Accessibility features beyond subtitles/captions* * Interested parties to submit use cases *8. Pluggable CDM for EME* * Although not in scope for W3C, interested parties could raise the issue in the Media API TF of the HTML5 WG where relevant actors are. ** Giuseppe to reach out to original proponent and encourage him to follow-up.* *9.
