Hello, I have updated the gap analysis table with my understanding of the tech gap for EME. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvACjV6qSvmxdEctdjYwa2JOalZLOG10elE1LVRZNlE#gid=1 For those who wonder what EME does (the spec can be a bit arcane), there's a good summary here: http://hsivonen.fi/eme/ The tech does/will cover the Media Content Protection (1.20) requirement. Strictly speaking, I believe it could also cover the "offline" variant of that requirement, although that would largely depend on the CDM implementation, with which EME would be interacting. A bit more far fetched - I suspect EME could be used for Local Access Control (Requirement 1.6) too. -- Olivier ----------------------------- http://www.bbc.co.uk This e-mail (and any attachments) is confidential and may contain personal views which are not the views of the BBC unless specifically stated.
