Hello I work for a post production company called the mill. For a few years clients have been moving away from tape based media to web based media to view their masters. This is problematic for us because there seems to be no standard for web broadcasts like there is in TV and clients complain that the web video looks washed out. This causes all sorts of problems for us as a company often with large financial implications. Is it possible to introduce a standard for colour similar to Rec 709 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rec._709) so that video players and web based broadcasts can interpret correctly and give a pretty good approximation of the colours that were intended? Of course computer monitors will always vary. Kind regards, JOhn John Thornton The Mill Tel +65 6500 3206 Cell +65 9339 3521 www.themill.com
