[MEDIA_PIPELINE_TF] Meeting Announcement

I apologize for getting this out so late. I'm at CES and have been quite
busy, but I do plan to have the call on Thursday.

Here's the proposed agenda for the MPTF meeting:

Here's the meeting information:

Also, here is a message from Phillipp with some background for one of our
agenda topics.

There's an important

     deadline on Jan 14

wrt the bugs the TF submitted and the HTML5 endgame timeline
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html/2011Jun/0315.html

The relevant parts are

===

(15.5 weeks) [FLEX]

- December 31, 2011 - all bugs remaining in LC1 components addressed by
editors
Consequences of missing this date: bugs still open past this date can
be escalated to Tracker Issues immediately if the originator so chooses.

(2 weeks)

- Jan 14, 2012 - cutoff for escalating bugs for Last Call consideration -
all Tracker Issues in Tracker, calls for proposal issued by this date
Consequences of missing this date: any further escalations will not
be treated as a Last Call comment.

===

Given that not all bugs were addressed by editors on December 31, the TF
now needs to look at
"

bugs still open past this date can be escalated to Tracker Issues
immediately if the originator so chooses.

"

So whatever bugs the TF thinks are important to treat as last call
comments should be chosen and escalated *before Jan 14*.

Note that "officially", escalating bugs triggers some complex mechanism
of "call for proposals" and "counterproposals" in the WG, whereas actual
discussion stops - from experience, this is somewhat inefficient and
leads to delays.

We would would recommend to you to continue the discussion despite the
escalation (and will also encourage the edtitor to continue the
discussion, and to try to resolve bugs even if escalated.

Let us know if you have any questions or need further clarification.

-Philipp
