Good morning/evening,

This is the kick-off for the Timed Text Task Force created at TPAC 2012.

The objective of the TF is to "develop recommendations to facilitate
the use of TTML and WebVTT content on the Web, including
interoperability with other timed text formats."

A wiki has been setup at http://www.w3.org/2011/webtv/wiki/Tt. We
invite you to indicate your interest by adding your name to the list
of participants.

Next steps include:

- documenting specifications and efforts using WebVTT and TTML
(http://www.w3.org/2011/webtv/wiki/Timed_Text_Efforts)
- capturing Web-based timed text use cases from the TV and Media
industry (http://www.w3.org/2011/webtv/wiki/Timed_Text_Use_Cases)
