Hi all, as discussed during last call I did a first attempt to define some of the terms we use when describing use cases. Please check this section and provide comments http://www.w3.org/2011/webtv/wiki/HNTF/Home_Network_TF_Requirements#Definitions Note the following: - For some terms I reused Matt definition from [1] - I've tried to define both document and application (since they are different). use cases can make use of both terms as appropriate - For document, I partially reused the HTML5 definition [2] - I have some comments in the text I would like to discuss in particular: 1. we often distinguish between TV and companion device (and I kept these terms from Matt proposal). I'm wondering tough if this definition make sense nowadays; it seems to me that we have many overlaps in functionality and use of different devices in the home, so I would rather look at them as different "equally important" devices with different functionalities. In some usecases may still make sense to talk about a TV-set (the big screen in the home) but that would just be one particular device. 2. we probably need to extend a bit more the definition of "Programme" [1] http://www.w3.org/2011/webtv/wiki/HNTF/Home_Network_TF_Discussions/UseCasesDualScreen [2] http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/infrastructure.html#terminology -- Giuseppe Pascale TV & Connected Devices Opera Software - Sweden
