Hi Clarke and Vickers, Sony is also very interesting in the MPTF and would like to participate it. Also, we suggest to make the scope broader a little bit, i.e. discussing requirements related to the adaptive streaming supported by the use agent in general. We have the following concerns on the scope. (1) User-agent controls the algorithm v.s. application will do. Generally, the use-agent controls the algorithm. The pros and cons and use cases about the following description are not clear. -Script access to parameters controlling user agent adaptive bit rate algorithms. -User agent content splicing. -Browser handling of dynamic tracks in linear media streams of infinite length. (2) The adaptive bitrate format issue should be excluded or not Any dependency between the format and the above topics ? Why not discuss the requirements on the format ? - It is not considered within scope to specify HTML5 support for any particular adaptive bit rate format. Thank you. -***---***---***---***---***---***---***---***---***--***---***---***- Tatsuya Igarashi (Tatsuya.Igarashi@jp.sony.com) NS Development Dept.
