Hi Everyone I would like to propose an addition to the agenda for 7/14 to discuss two additional modifications/clarifications to the Turtledove/Sparrow discussion. These contributions are listed below. The purpose of these two papers is to drive further discussion on a workable model for Cohort creation and management, with the key focus being driving an environment that is actually implementable and manageable over the long term. The general principles here are: no identifiers can be passed between buyers and sellers. some identifiers may exist for cohort creation, and those identifiers could potentially be used by either a publisher or a browser, or both If a browser has access to an identifier for cohort creation, there should be a method for allowing a non-browser entity to do the same, under understood guidelines. In other words, all intelligence and decision making cannot be self-contained in the browser with no transparency, auditability or visibility by the rest of the ecosystem. These two proposals are different ways of looking at the above problem. One of the proposals (gatekeeper) requires a governance structure of some sort to insure that the functions are properly conducted. The other (Prop Cohorts) does not, as the governance is self contained in the signalling between the browser and the publisher/federation. We would like 10 minutes to cover the basics of these proposals, then we also propose 5 minutes to discuss as a group how to handle further modifications to the Sparrow-Turtledove military industrial complex of things, and ensure that we are correctly covering the pros and cons with the relevant stakeholders. This proposed review would be in conjunction/cooperation with Criteo ie the authors of Sparrow, as these modifications were developed collaboratively. Thanks.
