Hello, Responding to https://blog.chromium.org/2020/01/building-more-private-web -path-towards.html?m=1 and taking issue with " sustain a healthy, ad-supported web in a way that will render third-party cookies obsolete. Once these approaches have addressed the needs of users, publishers, and advertisers, and we have developed the tools to mitigate workarounds, ". This defines an oxymoron. This is not healthy. This is already toxic. Stop collecting and aggregating our data. The internet and the Web exist because of government (tax dollar and public) funded research. Which means, it is a utility (just like water, clean air, roads, sewer systems). Secondly, as Edward Snowden and Cambridge Analytica have shown, there is nothing healthy about "ad-supported web" and "to mitigate workarounds" where you only propose to further control users, collect our data, and manipulate information and behavior, FOR YOUR BUSINESS INTEREST. Some have begun using the term "surveillance Capitalism". We object to any and all surveillance. We object to any of you collecting and aggregating our data. Period. No this is NOT a free service. DARPA funded it. DARPA funds it. Many of your employees were educated in public schools (for free). Those of you who attended private school, your parents paid for your education. There is no wisdom in free markets; free markets do not exist; they never have, they never will. The.WEB is not a free market. This is NOT a fair negotiation between equals. No, I do not wish to live in a cave. I live in the present, in society; and society uses the internet. Stop surveillance Capitalism. -- Without exception, kindly refrain from forwarding jokes, marketing correspondence, or sending me e-mail as part of a list.
