Those who attended the extra Friday WCAG2ICT TF meeting reached an agreement on language for applying 2.4.2 Page Titled to non-web documents and software. We had been working in a  <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qFOc8cip3tKbH35XsxwYpZXxycLMhVgblbabg5V4UCY/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.t9e127qed266> Google doc, and made a few modifications to Proposal 3. We then adjusted the non-web software alternate requirement to have more consistent language between non-web software and non-web documents. I have since updated PR 793 using the language we agreed in the meeting.

 

Since we didn’t have a quorum to make a resolution to incorporate the agreed text, this is a call for consensus to update to WCAG2ICT guidance on applying 2.4.2 Page Titled. 

 

Please respond to this email by 28 October at 3 PM Eastern Time with a +1, 0 or -1 regarding agreement to incorporate  <https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/pull/793/files> PR #793, as-is, into the WCAG2ICT editor’s draft.
