EAA, EN 301 549, and WCAG2ICT actions needed

As mentioned in recent calls, the EN 301 549 update for the European Accessibility Act (EAA) is open for review. Shadi said they've requested feedback by March 5, so all edits can be completed by the deadline of April 30.

  *   Latest draft of EN 301 549<https://labs.etsi.org/rep/HF/en301549/-/issues/219>
  *   Issues tracker<https://labs.etsi.org/rep/HF/en301549/-/issues/>
  * To give feedback, see instructions to create an "Individual Account"<https://labs.etsi.org/rep/users/sign_in>

Unfortunately, between now and March 20 my time for standards work will be extremely limited. My regrets in advance for the WCAG2ICT weekly calls and "SC analysis" working sessions.

My requests for the WCAG2ICT Task Force:

  * EAA and EN 301 549: I have filed 17 issues where the EN draft does not yet cover an EAA requirement for the relevant ICT types. Mike has asked for help to confirm which of these issues are important for accessibility. I believe the answer is "all," and I've included proposed language wherever I could, but it will need a community effort to confirm what's needed and ensure the EAA gaps<https://labs.etsi.org/rep/HF/en301549/-/issues/?search=EAA> are closed in the EN.
  * WCAG2ICT and EN 301 549: I have not reviewed the EN draft systematically for WCAG2ICT information. Some WCAG2ICT related issues have been reported<https://labs.etsi.org/rep/HF/en301549/-/issues/?search=wcag2ict> and will need help to resolve. More attention is needed to ensure that the good work of our Task Force is reflected throughout.

In case it helps with WCAG2ICT review of EN 301549, and to jog our collective memory for our "SC analysis" work, here's an expandable table where I summarized everything WCAG2ICT says about the SCs: https://www.tpgi.com/new-advice-on-wcag-for-software-and-documents-part-2/#heading14

I hope to see some of you at CSUN ATC in March!

Cheers,
Mitchell
