Re: [WCAG2ICT] Please complete the surveys by midnight ET

Regrets - I am at a conference with both presentation and exhibit duties

But I have read all the responses up to the time of this email — and I agree with the consensus building there and the edits to my suggestions.

The only bit I have question about — it keeping the text about hardware in this place but not in other places places.
Generally, in a standard when you do this, it is assumed that you mentioned it here, because it only applies here and does not apply in the other places where you do not mention it. Otherwise, why did you mention it specifically here?
So my thought was that we need to make it clear in one place that it does not apply to hardware and then not bring that up in other places (except perhaps to have a pointer back to where we said it does not apply to hardware if we think something is ambiguous in someone location). But we should not just make a hardware comment again.
A way to do this might be to say “NOTE: As stated in XXXX above, nothing in WCAG2ICT applies to hardware” (or something similar)

Good luck tomorrow. Looks like a meeting with everyone is wonderful agreement except in a couple places to tune the tweaks.
