[WCAG2ICT] Minutes from the 11 May meeting and TF action items before publication

Hi all,

In yesterday’s meeting we discussed what work items need to be complete before our first public working draft, and what the timeline we hope that to be delivered on. A good chunk of work is still needed. If everyone pitches in, the proposed timeline won’t slip by much. We also had a discussion on the device-independent pixel definition and talked about the definition proposal, feedback received thus far and the how to be more effective in moving the draft forward. Here’s the meeting minutes link: https://www.w3.org/2023/05/11-wcag2ict-minutes.html

Rundown of actions to complete prior to First Public Working Draft publication:

  * 1.4.10 Reflow guidance (Mary Jo, and whomever can help with this)
     * I am splitting up 1.4.10 Reflow into smaller chunks (pixels definition, non-web documents, non-web software and closed functionality) to reduce the cognitive load of following and contributing to these topics in the comments.
     * Complete the Reflow doodle poll<https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/bojBvBka> to find a meeting time if you can help with this effort. Whomever responds to the poll will be assigned to the issues and invited to the meetings.
     * We’ll have our smaller group focus on each aspect to further develop the proposals for each aspect of Reflow. Once ready, they’ll go to the Task Force for review/approval.
  * Update of the SC Problematic for closed functionality appendix (Issue 44<https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/issues/44>). (Mary Jo, Sam, Gregg, Laura, Olivia, Phil) If you are assigned to issue 44, complete the Closed Functionality doodle poll<https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/bkrWvn5a> to find a meeting time, complete the spreadsheet analysis<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/109GqdIBvvL1WRBryJOis7kS6pRGyeIYKpl63QuTIPnI/edit?usp=sharing>, and attend additional meetings to develop proposals to take to the larger group.
  * Update of the Text / Command Line / Terminal Emulator guidance (Janina, Jason, Matt, Mary Jo, Mitch, Shadi)
     * SC are being analyzed to see if WCAG2ICT guidance might be needed.
     * Proposals for content updates will follow and be brought to the TF for approval.
  * Remaining formatting and broken link issues (Editors, Bruce, Michael Cooper, and Daniel Montalvo)

Best regards,
