Re: Tracking issue needed for Windows and Mac verification of pixels

Mitch,

Thanks for bringing this up. I thought you had done something (maybe it was just Android) to see how well the viewport worked for Reflow and it was pretty comparable. I mentioned it in yesterdays AG WG call. Hopefully I didnt mis-characterize the work you did. It seems that it would be good if we could determine (and clearly document) if the different density-independent pixels for various platform are approximately equivalent. I opened Issue 200<https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/issues/200> to track that and assigned to you.

As for the assigned task in June, I see a few things mentioned in the 1 June minutes<https://www.w3.org/2023/06/01-wcag2ict-minutes#t03> where we were discussing 2.5.8 Target Size. You did complete the wordsmithing for non-web documents which we incorporated. Possible remaining tasks:

  * Checking if actual size for PDF is a good basis for evaluating pointer target. I believe this could have an effect on the non-web documents note for 2.5.8 Target Size.

Hi Mary Jo, On a Task Force call in June, I offered to verify how density-independent pixels behave on Windows and Mac. I still havent had time to do this. Would you please file an issue and assign it to me? There was an edit which we

Hi Mary Jo,

There was an edit which we approved in that June Task Force call, provisional to my completing this task. Can you remind me which edit that was?

Thanks,
Mitchell
