[WCAG2ICT] Meeting minutes for 1 December

Hi all,

Today’s WCAG2ICT meeting minutes can be found at: https://www.w3.org/2022/12/01-wcag2ict-minutes.html
Note, the topics are a little off in the minutes since I accidentally skipped an agenda item. The discussion on the survey of the Background section can be found under agenda item 2 labeled “AG WG guidance to TF on scope of changes the TF can make” and the scope of changes topic was covered at the very end of the meeting.
The topics covered were:
· Announcements – The document source is now in markdown and work will soon be done to incorporate the includes of WCAG quoted content. Introduction of new TF participant. If you have assigned yourself to an issue, please give status to Mary Jo as to when draft content will be ready for review.
· Survey: Draft background section – The background content is well supported by the group with a few edits and additions. Laura will need to incorporate suggested changes and then either she or editors can add in GitHub.
· Survey: Review proposed changes to guidelines – Will be incorporated into GitHub as-is and we will ensure an issue is opened/tracked for the suggested change to the WCAG Understanding
· Survey: Initial look at draft for 1.3.5 Identify Input Purpose – Began discussions, but didn’t complete them. Survey due date has been extended.
· Guidance on scope of changes the TF can make – Limit word replacements so that they don’t change the meaning of normative language. If issues are found in the Understanding content, open them with suggested language to increase likelihood of incorporation into WCAG documents. The WCAG2ICT note should not be reliant on any changes to be made by AG WG.
Next meeting is on 8 Dec. Please be sure to complete the survey on 1.3.5 Identify Input Purpose if you haven’t already done it. Link to the survey: https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/55145/WCAG2ICT-Identify-input-purpose/
