Attendees Dan Bjorge, Bruce Bailey, Alastair Campbell, Mike Gower, Giacomo, Lori Oakley, Patrick Lauke, Scott O'Hara, Francis Storr General Topics Proposed process posted to AG, a few Thumbs Up early. So, working as intended! https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-gl/2023OctDec/0069.html Process and minutes are on wiki: https://github.com/w3c/wcag/wiki https://github.com/w3c/wcag/wiki/WCAG-2-Task-Force-process Throughout call we worked through GitHub mechanics. Mike request folks on call assign themselves to other's issues. Focus on Assign Self, not as Reviewer. You should see your GitHub icon added on the Project Board card. TF co-facilitators will triage between calls to maximize use of group's time. Alastair: For bug fixes, Alastair, Mike, Bruce might merge between calls. Mike clarifies that, for new issues, new process is for everything to go through backlog, but co-facilitators will triage before call so bug fixes can be very fast. Issues / PRs Project Board is at: https://github.com/orgs/w3c/projects/56/views/1 https://github.com/w3c/wcag/pull/910 Tweaks/additions to Understanding Pointer Gestures General approval, but highlights need for full in-context rendering above and beyond what GitHack can provide. https://raw.githack.com/w3c/wcag/7cf4bd1de4b8b38b6288a404e2a3d940864ab361/understanding/21/pointer-gestures.html Future topic is a tutorial from on generating rendering. Alastair volunteers to research documentation on building locally. Dan is up for that, but not the rest of us. Alastair will coordinate with Kevin and post some instructions for local builds, which may be the only way to get a reliable in-context rendering. https://github.com/w3c/wcag/pull/1517 Tweak understanding for 1.2.6: Sign Language (Prerecorded) Consensus that this is correction (bug fix), so not editorial. Moved to Drafted column. https://github.com/w3c/wcag/pull/3572 Chore: update .html files for xslt/xml processing Consensus that this is bug fix, but is extensive and brittle. Alastair will check with Kevin on how to merge with due care. https://github.com/w3c/wcag/pull/1823 ARIA9 change "label" to "name" when it refers to accessible name Scott has reviewed and assigned self, and group consensus as Bug Fix. Clarified status of that reviewed. Scott does not need re-review, just needs assignment to show on Project Board. Mike: 24 items in Draft, I would like co-curation of these items, then take up newer process going forward. Scott: Sems like a lot of process, Lori looking for clarification. For next week, Mike will go through drafted and send notes to list. Look for assignments. https://github.com/w3c/wcag/pull/2970 Remove technique H59 Group consensus that this is Bug Fix. Patrick notes review requested review, but that is not happened yet. Mike for next week: TF members own issues, got through list, get items assigned and progressed on Board. https://github.com/w3c/wcag/pull/3566 PR to update F46 to cover tables with structural elements that are marked presentational Question raised about changing name of Understanding, but keeping number. From quick investigation, filename is determinative, so improvement to name is fine. https://github.com/w3c/wcag/pull/1642 Add two notes/clarifications to 2.1.1/2.1.3 understanding Minor edits on call. Consensus that PR is ready for merging. Edits highlights that capitalization and style guide needed, as not always consistent.
