I had a quick stab at it (see attachment
LC_973_ariaTechWithoutTable.html). Curiously, the buttons align at
their left edges in Opera 9, Firefox 1.5, and Mozilla 1.7.13 but at
their right edges in Internet Explorer 6.

Thanks, Christophe. I had tried similar styles but I was trying to use
<div>'s with float:right and display:inline and got frustrated trying to
make it work! I have updated the example file and the example code in the
technique with Christophe's fix.
