<comment> The reviewer states that blinking does not belong under GL 2.2 because it is not a time limit. Proposal: move to GL 2.3 or into its own guideline (if photosensitivity is not the main rationale). </comment> <response> See issue # 880, especially comment # 4 (http://trace.wisc.edu/bugzilla_wcag/show_bug.cgi?id=880#c4): "Also the 'include blinking events as timed events is inappropriate' has been addressed by the NOTE linking to Guideline 2.3 (Allow users to avoid content that could cause seizures due to photosensitivity)."This comment on issue # 880 still applies, so it can be used in a response on LC comment # 16. </response> I also came across two other Bugzilla issues: # 1021: this is overtaken by events: 'text-decoration:blink' is no longer a technique but a failure (if there is no mechanism to stop the blinking: http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20-TECHS/#F4 ). # 1243: I think this is covered by http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20-TECHS/#SCR22 (but I have traced the history of that technique).
