RE: [People-Use-Web] draft script for Martine

Hi Shadi,

Sorry for the slow response. Work is being troublesome.

I have read through the script and only have a couple of minor points:


*       Seq 5: Mentions writing but reading is probably the more common problem

*       Seq 5: Mentions "Difficult" words but would it be more appropriate to say "uncommon" words?

*       Seq 7: Might it be worth having something to reference the precision of language required for the course material makes automatic captions problematic?

*       Seq 10: Not sure about the playing on age and how that might come across possibly playing to a stereotype?

We are refining our first script on the story of Martine, and would like to get your thoughts early if possible. It expands slightly from the initial story on different topics, for example to better explain why complex text is an issue and how lip-reading works. It also adds some details, for example on relay services, being able to pin speaker windows during teleconferences, and captions with customizable fonts. Finally, the order of some of these topics is also somewhat different for a better flow. Curious what you think of this script before we continue!

Would you be able to do an initial review of this script by Tuesday 3rd May noon UK at the latest? Otherwise, please let us know by when you can take a look.

We meet again on Tuesday 3rd May at 1:30pm UK (same EO Zoom coordinates), if you happen to be available - depending on your comments, it may be just easier to discuss during the meeting. Just let us know what works for you best.
