RE: compilation videos - change to transition decision?

Hi Shawn, Kevin, all,

I agree that keeping "Accessibility, it's about people" at the end of each segment is a nice tagline to repeat in the compilation videos. I don't have strong opinions on the how, though (during, before, or after transition etc.).

I'm on the fence about having the title plates repeat "Tools and Techniques" and "Diverse Abilities and Barriers", and maybe even "How People with Disabilities Use the Web" -- on the one hand, it seems useful to remind viewers where they are and the overall context of the video segment they are about to watch; on the other hand, it's quite a long title and maybe tedious to keep repeating?

Best,
  Shadi

Hi Kevin and all,

Decided in Friday EOWG meeting:
1. Opening: Use similar layout for "Tools and Techniques" and "Perception - hearing, feeling, and seeing" (with box over paled grid of people, not white screen) 2. For the transitions:
2.1. Keep individual saying “you can help make digital technology accessible to me”.
2.2. Individual fades into grid (like end of individual video).
2.3. Grid pales (like beginning of individual video).
2.4. Subsection "Presentation distinguishing and understanding" appears like main video (with paled grid in background).
3. Endplate is the same as the individual videos.

After thinking about the fact that many people won't watch the videos until the end (confirmed by our YouTube analytics), I suggest a change for *at least the first transition*:
2.1.1 include the narration "Accessibility, it's about people." (with no change of visual, so it's said when the grid is in the background, like the individual videos)

And, given "Accessibility, it's about people." is an important tagline, I actually think it'd be OK to say it 4 times in Tools and Techniques and 5 times in Diverse Abilities and Barriers. (compared to the perspectives videos (10x in 7minutes), that's half the repetition in longer videos)

Or, if we decide it's too much, then maybe just the first transition have “you can help make digital technology accessible to me” & "Accessibility, it's about people.", and neither in the middle transitions (unless it's too jarring without it), and of course at the end.

separate issue: In working on the compilations, I realized that the individual videos don't have "Tools and Techniques" and "Diverse Abilities and Barriers". Is that a feature or bug?
