Re: RDWG Teleconference for 15 April 2015 - please read

Hi Vivienne, Mark, Shadi,

As with last week, I will join for the 2nd half hour if my previously
scheduled overlapping meeting ends on time.

Glad to see the charter discussion on the agenda. My understanding is
that you have a re-draft in progress. Can you or Mark share a link onto
the RDWG mailing list to the draft in progress, and/or summarize the
changes that you are intending to reflect in an updated draft? If
available for this meeting, it might help us move an updated proposal
along.

My understanding is that the intended changes are in line with some of
the comments received about re-focusing RDWG to better address
accessibility research needs across W3C, which I think would be a
welcome addition to the groups' priorities. I also thought that there
might be some emphasis on working with an existing Interest Group such
as WAI IG for broader input on research topics, though we've continued
to hear some interest in keeping a Working Group structure for the
primary focused work of the group.

Also, with regard to publishing the queue of previous reports, if you're
able to share any specifics of what you're considering for a more
rapid/lightweight publishing process, that would be helpful.

If at any point you're able to move this to a different day, for
instance Thursday, I'd be happy to coordinate more on some of the newer
work; and we've had expressions of interest from others who may want to
join the group, and I'd like to help with getting them on board. But for
this week and/or next, we need an updated charter to propose that
addresses some of the concerns that were raised.

Thanks,

- Judy
