Simon! It's been great having you as chair over the years! Thanks for all the effort you've put into setting up and organizing much of RDWG. I was always impressed how well you coordinated the calls, so well that at times I remember forgetting you were actually chairing. Sort of like a good UI, the experience is so great you sort of forget your using a UI. Really glad you'll still be around! cheers, +pt On 10 December 2014 at 10:26, Simon Harper <simon.harper@manchester.ac.uk> wrote: > Hi everyone, > > If you were not on the telecon today, I just wanted to let you know that > due to additional work commitments I wont be able to continue on as Chair > of the RDWG; and so I've decided to step down. > > I've really enjoyed my time as Chair and had previously been very vocal > about getting the group started up again after the RDIG became dormant. > Thanks to Shadi and Judy for allowing that to happen! > > But, now it's time to hand over to other people and there will hopefully > be 2 co-chairs to ease the administrative burden. > > I feel proud of the work that we have accomplished so far and the eight or > so symposia we have run.
