Hi Everyone! At last nights Telecon we decided on a way to move forward for selecting our first topic. So this week can everyone add any new topics to the wiki for consideration, or flesh out those that are already there. The deadline for this is next Thursday's meeting (21st July), at that meeting we will discuss the wiki and the additions and changes that have taken place, along with any query's or discussions about overlaps and possible topic amalgamation and possible editors - in general making sure we have a good set of initial topics and people who wish to focus on them. Immediately after, I will create a w3c survey and release it such that we can each rank all the topics, and make any comments upon them. This survey will close just before our meeting on 28th July - and in this meeting we will discuss the ranking and comments and then pick the first topic and editors. So these first two weeks are very important to get your topics in or polish those that are up there already. If the process works, we will all continually update the wiki over the next 3 months - in parallel to work on the first topic - and then create another survey when we need to pick the second topic. Please get back to me with any questions. Cheers -- Si. ======================= Simon Harper http://simon.harper.name/about/card/ University of Manchester (UK) Web Ergonomics Lab - Information Management Group http://wel.cs.manchester.ac.uk
