We must remember that this is an optional step, so if people want to strengthen their claim by recording exactly how they tested a web page (even if this is a simple lightweight list of references to the ids of Sufficient techniques they used i.e. H67) we should let them, perhaps even encourage them… it would also make future re-checking far easier as you preserve the context of what was actually tested.
