Re: WCAG-EM testing proposal

Hi Vivienne,

I was not thinking of legal conditions - just not wanting to upset anyone.

By its nature our testing discussions will be public and if I were a site
owner who discovered that a group were making public critiques of my site
(however genuine) without my permission I would be extremely p***d off!

Regards
Richard

Hi Richard
Yes, we were discussing that in the last telco. I think Shadi was going to
check into the requirements a bit more for us.

I am happy to help with testing and accept that just doing the first three
steps might be a good starting point.

It is essential that any sites used have given permission to be used!!

Richard

Hi Vivienne,

Totally agree with you also. Lets start with steps 1 - 3 and then find
volunteers to work on the rest of the steps.

Also would like the input of the others on the list. Do you all agree with
this approach to phase the testing of WCAG-EM and start with the first three
steps?

Kindest regards,

Eric

Hi Eric

This is looking good, but certainly seems like a lot of work for individual
volunteers who would all be assessing the same pages. While it will give a
great data set, to evaluate a website usually takes considerable time and
this would also depend upon the sample size. Would it be better to split up
the sample after it is chosen in step 3 and all evaluate a portion?
