ERT WG, This is a meeting summary for the ERT WG teleconference meeting on Wednesday 1 June 2011. Attendees: CarlosI, Christophe, Philip Regrets: CarlosV, Emmanuelle, Kostas, Rui # Discussion Topic: "WCAG 2.0 Evaluation Methodology Task Force" Ref: <http://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/2011/eval/eval-tf> Some discussion about addressing the broad scope between: 1. evaluating single websites using manual and semi-automated checking 2. fully automated checking of entire websites to complement point #1. 3. large-scale evaluations of many websites in a country, domain, etc. It was concluded that an updated revision to the outdated "Techniques For Accessibility Evaluation and Repair Tools (AERT)" [1] could provide the necessary guidance for tool developers to help address #2 and #3. [1] <http://www.w3.org/TR/AERT> However, this work is outside the scope of this particular Task Force, which will primarily focus on point #1 to provide a foundational basis for points #2 and 3. There were no objections to approving "Eval TF". Also given the support for launching this Task Force via the mailing list, the Task Force has been approved by ERT WG. Next meeting: Wednesday 15 June.
